Five Ways for Parents to Save Money

Parenting is completely life changing experience. The cost to raise a child to eighteen is over $250,000! That's not even including the expenses that you'll have sending that same child to college. Parents should be prepared for worst while hoping for the best. With a little discipline and careful planning, you can keep your cashflow in the black by following some of the tips below.
Using Coupons
Coupons have exploded with the recent downturn of the economy. Coupled with the power of the Internet, the days of collecting and clipping coupons is gone, and parents have a ton of resources to help them save. Iphones have great coupon apps, as well as Android. E-commerce coupon codes all cut down the headaches of couponing. Websites like the Baby and Kids section on FatWallet, and coupon code site Retail Me Not are both out there to help parents save.
Yay! Now you don't have to be like granny with a fistful of coupons holding up the grocery store line.
Pack a Lunch for Work
A great way to save is to make your lunch at home. What I do is make a little extra at dinner and pack the leftovers for lunch. My kids love my husbands construction worker style lunch box, just like the ones from the Bugs Bunny cartoons.
Kids Eat Free Nights
There's seems like there's a restaurant in every neighborhood that offers a kids eat free night. They are a great way to save of couple of dollars while having a family bonding experience. I'm sure we have all experienced a fussy kid that refuses to eat after a plate was ordered, if you got it for free it can cut down on a lot of frustration.
Buying Used
Honestly, I love buying used. You get a great deal, and an item with a possible story behind it to entertain your children. My kid loves the stories I can come up with on the origin of the new outfit I spent five dollars on. My favorite,
"Look at this new sweater I picked up at the Salvation Army! The person that dropped it off was a pirate that just came ashore. He said the bunny pattern conflicted with the image his was trying get. For some reason bunnys just don't strike fear into the hearts of his captives. He picked a clown sweater instead."
Save on Home Energy
Do a home inspection for any cracks around the walls or ceilings. Also be sure to check for cracks around electrical outlets, and even the windows and doors. If air is leaking out of your house, sealing them will cut down on your energy bills. Get them sealed by a handyman, or if you can do it yourself, you can save even more. Heating and cooling bills are expensive, so but sure to check your system to make sure that it is working properly.

This year, the Norse’s strength is overall team depth. Complementing the large number of strong swimmers is the idea that swimming is a team sport, and there will be plenty of team bonding throughout the season.
