Just time to change

My daughter is four months old and I can just see how much waste we are putting out there with the diapers she goes through. I would love to see if it creates less waste and saves me money at the same time. It would be so rewarding to know that even though I am one person, I am making a difference. Then we can work on using them when we have baby number two eventually.

Booty Duty

Our first baby is due at the end of September, and we are very excited to use cloth diapers. I originally thought that the whole idea of using cloth diapers was disgusting because it involved washing the diapers in the same machine as my other clothes. As I researched the different types of cloth diapers, I found that not only did they have less of an impact on the environment, but they could also be healthier for our baby. We look forward to the savings we will incur from using cloth versus disposables, and the opportunity it will give us to be that much more involved in what chemicals our baby is exposed to.

This package would really be a blessing as we only have 6 prefolds in our stash with two covers. We are truly in need of some additional diapers.

Why I choose cloth

We started using cloth both for the environment & for the health of our children, we like the cost savings, too! Our youngest will be out of diapers soon, so IF I win (I've never won anything ... so I'm not holding my breath) I'll give the Bummis Starter Kit to my little sister (a US soldier) who is due in a few months and is planning to use cloth.
* I will be giving her mine, but after 3 kids they don't look so new.

Building a cloth library!

I love everything about cloth diapering! Before my son was born, we wanted to try cloth diapering to save money and prevent waste. Now that he's a year old, we've come to learn and love so much more about it. We love the fact that it helps keep his sensitive skin rash-free. We love how stinkin' cute they look on. We even love trying new soaps and washing them! To be honest, cloth diapering wasn't easy at first. We had lots of leaks, soap buildup, fit issues, and there were several times we questioned whether or not we should just go the easy route and switch to disposables. We didn't know what we were doing, we didn't have anyone to turn to with questions, and we had spent a lot of money on diapers that didn't work. We stuck with it and made it through thanks to online forums like this where we really received support, and now we really want to be a support system to others. I have several friends and cousins who are expecting, and my husband and I encourage them all to cloth diaper. We can't afford to get them all diapers so that they can try it for themselves, which is why we'd love to win this package! We hope that by coaching and even loaning some diapers out, we might be able to help other mommies and daddies around us get started on their own cloth diaper journey so that we can see lots more fluffy bums around us!

Why I like Cloth

I love the cost savings, and love the fact that my son isn't being exposed to any chemicals on a constant basis.

Healthier and Happier

Our oldest daughter was born while I was still in grad school and needed to save $$. I hated the idea of just throwing all that money away on disposables, but the more I became familiar w/ cloth, the more I LOVED using them! They're so much healthier for little bottoms - no sitting in those harsh chemicals. And that means fewer rashes too! We now cloth diaper both our little girls and plan to continue using cloth as our family keeps on growing! ;-) Cloth is definitely the way to go!!!

NO More Waste

We started cloth diapering because we were horrified at the amount of diapers we were throwing away every week. Cloth diapers have given us the chance to minimize our waste.

why I cloth diaper

I am interested in cloth diapering for the interest of the environment and the fact that my son had a VERY bad blistery rash from pampers diapers when he was a newborn. We tried a few different disposables and everything seems to give him a rash. I try and call the companies and they say its my fault! I NEVER leave my baby in a wet/dirty diaper EVER!! Unless he is sleeping then I change it soon as he gets up. We are just starting to get into cloth diapering and so far so good! This kit would help us out SOOOOOOOOOO much due to our shortage of funds lately and we only have a few diapers right now so I am doing laundry every day!!! I am all about cloth diapering now and tell every momma I run into!!

Can't wait to cloth diaper!

I am due in November and I am planning to cloth-diaper. I am so excited about it, and I love the look on people's faces when I tell them NOT to buy me diapers for a baby present (disposable diapers, anyway). They say, "What are you going to use?" and sound totally dumbfounded. When I say "Cloth Diapers", they start to stutter and then I get to tell them how far cloth diapers have come and about all the great options that are out there. And the best parts - better for our environment and easy to use & clean.

So many benefits!

We originally started using cloth to be more eco-friendly and reduce landfill waste, as well as to take all the chemicals away from our baby's skin. When you couple that with the cuteness of cloth diapers, the major cost savings, the soft cotton against their skin, the lack of diaper rash and all the other benefits, it's a no brainer! Yeah, it's more work, but it's definitely worth it to give the best to our baby and our planet!

cloth is just better

I stared cloth diapering because my best friend cloth diapered her baby. She said it was easy, so I though, "why not give it a try?" Since then I have fallen in love with it, and passed on the love - in the form of lending diapers to other mamas so they can see how easy it is. One of them switched to cloth right away.

The thing about cloth diapering for a lot of people is that is sounds really hard. It seems like a lot of work. Automatically minds think of 1950's cloth diapers, with big pieces of fabric to fold and baby pins and such. I had no idea how easy the Bum Genius diapers were until I tried.

Just starting out and want to save the earth and on limited $$$$

I have just started out cloth diapering and I LOVE IT!!!! I am strapped on cash and I have a small stash started and would love to hae mre so that i can go full timeon the cloth diapering. Saving the planet and the environment is the best way at looking to start cloth diapering and the diapers these days are easier to use and sooo super cute!!!! Vote for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Badly needing more diapers!

I started using cloth because we can't afford the cost of using sposies on two babies. Not to mention the huge amount of trash that makes :-( felt really bad for what we were doing to the environment. Not having much money to spend on cloth diapers its taking forever to get a stash large enough so I don't have to wash diapers twice a day. It's so worth it though!

Saving the planet (and the tushies)

The desire to switch to cloth sprang from learning through my many crunchy mommy friends on Facebook just how long a single disposable diaper takes to break down in a landfill - no one knows the exact amount of time, but estimations from from 250-500 years. That's at least five times longer than I can expect my baby to live if he happens to be very lucky and have an extremely long life.

Not to mention that there have always been rules about dumping bodily waste into landfills, where it might be able to get into public water supplies, but those rules don't apply to disposable diapers for some reason. Seeing a poo-filled diaper, my first desire is to get it folded up safely and moved away from my body... not to toss it into my cup of drinking water and hope that it doesn't interact.

I love my son, and definitely think he's the most important baby (to me), but that doesn't mean I want to short-change the billions upon billions of other people who will be born on this little rotating hunk of rock in the next thousand years, so why would I want to stick with a system of diapering that guarantees I place to needs (and convenience) of the few above the needs of the many?

And that doesn't even begin to touch on the many toxic chemicals that're gently folded into disposable diapers and strapped onto my baby's most sensitive body parts for hours upon hours every day.

No, disposables are NOT the way anymore. It's time for something better, not just for him but for the entire human race.

We are interested in cloth

We are interested in cloth diapering because of financial and environmental reasons. The ones that I have are also cute.

Cloth Diapering Cuteness

I'm not going to lie: I originally switched to cloth diapers because they are just too cute! I was always hesitant about the start-up cost, but one day I came across a great deal on a set of 3, and I have expanded from there. What I love about CDing now that we have been doing it for several months, is the fact that I don't have to budget money for diapers every month! I have what I need here at home, and if I'm running low, I just run the wash instead of run to the store :)

Babies Best

When I found out I was pregnant just about 2 years ago, I decided that I would quit my job so I could be home to take care of our LO. That would mean a huge pay cut for our family. But to me it was more important to be at home raising our daughter than it was to work outside of the home at this point in our lives. So after our daughter was born we used disposable diapers because we didn't know any better. After finding cloth, I decided to give it a try. We now love it! It is a great way to save on our finances as well as protect our LO from the toxic chemicals disposable diapers use to make them uber-dry! I would love to win this giveaway because I am relatively new to cloth and want to try new things to find what works best for us. Now we're just using 2nd hand diapers and it would be awesome to have something new!

Happy Baby Bum!

I started cloth diapering my youngest at 6 months, and the only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! I save money, save the environment (or at least help undo the damage of driving 4 kids in a mini-van), but most important, I'm doing the best I can for Baby! Switching to cloth also had the indirect benefit for him of the necessary clean-rinsing detergent, so there are even fewer chemicals against his sensitive bum!

Pregnant and wanting to use cloth diapering

I will be having my first child in January 2011 and my husband and I have chose cloth diapering because it's so much better for the baby's bum, the earth, and our wallets!

Going to Spread the Word!

I LOVE Cloth diapering and recently PCSed with my husband (in the army) to Germany and want to start up a Cloth Diapering class for the expectant mothers, new mothers or mothers looking for a change to save money and the environment! I've already "converted" two moms to cloth diapers and am anxious to spread the word about how wonderful they can be! =)

We recently moved to Europe

We recently moved to Europe for the military and when I discovered how infrequently garbage pickup was (once every OTHER week!!) and how expensive a larger garbage can from the disposal company was, I decided cloth diapering was finally going to get its chance in my life.

Cheaper, Safer, Better!

Cloth diapering is cheaper, saving me tons of money, and it's safer for both the environment and my baby!

I cloth diaper to save money.

I cloth diaper to save money. Plus I like the added bonus of not adding to the landfills!

This is my first time cloth

This is my first time cloth diapering. Used disposables on my daughter, this time around I didn't want to be so wasteful. Saving money is great too!

Cloth Diaper Mommy!

There are so many reasons why I love cloth diapering: it's cost savvy, safer for my baby, cleaner for the environment...what more could you ask for??? amber16820 at fuse dot net

mother knows best!

My mom used cloth diapers on me when i was a baby because of the cost and the fact that they are much healthier for the skin....mother knows best right!?!

I would love to win

I began using cloth diapers as I knew that was the way to go. It's environmental, it's cost effective, it's good for your baby. Why not use them, they are great.

There is no reason why a person should not use them. I keep talking to people about them and now I have have tons of friends and family who are using them as I have been able to give such great reviews of the various diapers that I have used.

cloth diapers

We use cloth for every reason - the money it saves, keeping disposables out of the landfill, and we feel like cloth is a safer choice for our son. No nasty chemicals!

I am interested in using

I am interested in using cloth diaper because of the great cost savings over disposables! I also think it's better for the environment and for my baby. Not to mention there are so many cute cloth diapers out there!

Can't wait to make the switch!

I am interested in cloth diapering because I am DISGUSTED at how many diapers are put into landfills every day... not to mention how long they take to biodegrade!! I am working at building up a stash so I can make the switch! I can't wait to be able to get my baby's butt out of those NASTY chemicals!!!

I originally started CDing to

I originally started CDing to save money, but now I do it because it is convenient, way cuter than a paper diaper, and so much better for my son's health. I would give this set to my SIL that is due soon and thinking about CDing!

i would love to start cloth diapering

i have always been interested in cloth diapering my son since he was born. ever since pampers started the dry max, i have wanted to CD. i can't seem to get my husband on board though. im going to start buying one at a time and start. by the time i have my next child... i will be exclusively cloth diapering. this would be a great way to get me started if we didnt have to fork over a high amount of money at once.

Why I use cloth diapers:

I don't use cloth diapers because I am trying to save money or the earth...My reason is very simple. THEY ARE ALOT CUTER THAN SPOSIES UNDER MY GIRLS' DREESES AND PEEKING OUT OF THE TOP PF MY BOYS PANTS!

Why I use cloth diapers:

why I use Cloth diapers

It started that my 5th child was going to have some health issues and I felt this was one way I could spoil her in a way that I didn't my others. I didn't realize the money saving or the ease of use would make me love it. So now that I am expecting my 6th and she is still in diapers I need to expand my stash. added bonus God healed my daughters lungs!

cloth diaper benefits

I started cloth diapering because it would save money. Now that my baby has been in cloth for about 3 or 4 months, I have seen that it is actually pretty convenient. I don't have to rush out to the store when I run out of diapers. As long as I have detergent and a washing machine, I have unlimited diapers :)

money saver and enviornmentally friendly

cloth diapering is not only cost effective in the long run and good for the planet....it also prevents my babys bottom from rashes. I kid you not, not one rash since going to cloth. now we just need a bigger stash!

2 in diapers!

With 2 children in diapers right now I can barely afford keeping their bums covered! Cost being a major factor, the health and well being of my babies is another major decision maker (as well as the environmental impact using cloth will have over disposibles). I want my kids to have a nice, clean Earth to raise their kids in. <3

So many reason

This is our first child and I want only the best for my child. After seeing the horror stories about kids having almost chemical burns from new diapers out there I decided I don't want to take a chance, so I did my research and really loved the idea of cloth diapering. I think it's better for babies but you also helping the environment. I am a very green person and try to do everything I can to reduce the waste I put in a landfills so cloth diapering my child seemed as the right choice for me. My husband wasn't sure about cloth diapering at first but after showing him all the facts and all th pros of cloth diapering he is on board and excited.

We expecting our first baby in January and couldn't be more excited!

Diaper contest

I would love these diapers for my daughter who is using cloth diapers. I used cloth on all 3 of my babies and am thrilled that my granddaughter is also being clothed diapered.

I started cloth diapering for one reason only: to do the best I could for my baby.

I was a young mom, and I was trying my best to do all the "right" things. Of course, I thought that meant buying the "best" disposable diaper available. As it turns out, my sensitive little girl was horribly allergic to disposable diapers... so I had to find a solution. My search for a cure to her impossible rash led me to cloth diapering.

I decided to make the switch right away. Anything to stop my baby from being miserable! In the end, though, I discovered that I *loved* cloth diapers. It made me feel awesome to be doing something good for my baby, and it was extra cool that I was also helping my wallet and the environment at the same time. ;-)

I cloth diapered my first until she PLed. Then about 3 years later I had another LO. There was no question about cloth diapering that time around-- I knew I was going to do it. My next baby wasn't allergic to sposies, but I stuck with cloth anyway. Why? Because cloth diapers are awesome. ♥

#1 - cloth diapers are so

#1 - cloth diapers are so much cuter! Saving money is a bonus!

I Love CD

I love cloth diapering. We use a front loader which is energy saving and water saving, and I just couldnt stand throwing away disposables every day. Plus CDs are way cuter...I always match thme with my little girls outfits. Now, whenever I hold a disposable I just think they are incrediably flimsy!

I would love to win!

We could really use this kit! I've been cloth diapering my son for about 6 months and LOVE CDing. We mostly switched to save money, since baby brother will be here in about 4 more weeks, and since Daddy got another pay cut this year. I can't imagine wasting any of my husband's hard earned money on disposable diapers.

New to cloth!

I am using cloth because its cost saving! I didnt realize how easy it really was and not to mention better for the environment and for our baby's bum!!

We could really use this kit! :)

I've used cloth diapers for

I've used cloth diapers for all 4 of my kids - love, love, love cloth diapering. While my children are all out of diapers, I'd love to be able to share these diapers with our village friends in a 3rd world country where we often work. Cloth diapers are so economical and it was rare to have any diaper leaks. I can honestly say I was sad when my children were out of those cute cloth diapers! :-)

Bummis ROCK

I used Bummis with my first and will again with my second! I love them!

Nostalgia

I'm cloth diapering for a ton of reasons, but the first is because it's what my mom did when I was a baby! I love the thought of going back to those simpler times, when cloth was really the only option.

I also feel great about all the other perks - saving money, better for the environment, and better for my baby!

Love my cloth!

I cloth diapered my first child two years ago and loved it! We tell everyone that cloth is the way to go! We did it for economic as well as environmental reasons. It was sooo easy and I'm ready to get going with it again for baby due in November!

Why

I use cloth diapers mainly to keep my baby away from all the chemicals in disposables. Being economical and good for the environment are big bonuses. In general it makes me feel better to have her in cloth diapers. And if she potty trains faster because of it I am all for that!
